Content Introduction

Selecting course content is a critical aspect of teaching. What you choose to include and leave out of a course says a lot about what you find the most important, intriguing, and necessary for students to learn. In recent years, there has been a movement to make courses more inclusive of divergent points of view-perspectives that some students find especially difficult because they challenge the status quo. In this section, you will find resources on a variety of topics related to course content. This section of the website is designed to provide answers to these important questions: How is content different in the inclusive classroom? How should I select course content? What about the use of multimedia? What do you mean by course transformation? How would I go about transforming a course? Included is information on the following topics as they relate to teaching and learning.
