Foreign Language Departments on Campus
- The University of Oregon offers twenty-three languages. Visit the faculty of the foreign language departments during office hours to discuss your interests.
- Find links to all departments online.
- Many departments offer evening conversation groups and No-English retreats.
Ask in your language department about these opportunities.
Yamada Language Center: 121 Pacific Hall, 346-4011
- Free Language Exchange Program. Students can exchange English tutoring for native language tutoring.
- Computer Lab with software available in 20+ languages.
- Self-study language programs.
- International movies for check out.
- Watch news and cultural programs live in the Keithan lounge, or watch through the website.
- A chat server for those interested in conversing in a foreign language.
- Audio, video and software lending and sales of language courseware.
- WWW language guides – guide to language resources on the web.

- International Coffee Hour, every Friday 4-6 p.m.at the International Student Lounge at the Erb Memorial Union.
- Cultural nights (spring term). Students from a specific country present an evening of
traditional food and entertainment.

- This site is intended as an extention to our fabulous resources in the Erb Memorial Union. It is your connection to government, newspaper, radio, TV, and travel related web sites. We have organized these for you by regions and type of resources.
- Come visit us in the Erb Memorial Union's International Lounge! We have trained personnel and additional resources in the lounge to help you, and there's almost always something going on.

- Advising about opportunities to study at more than 140 UO-sponsored programs in eighty countries in Africa, Asia, Europe, Latin America, and the Pacific.
- Advising about opportunities to participate in internships and work opportunities throughout the world.
- Assistance with applications, passports, visas and other documents needed for study overseas.

- Information on scholarships and financial aid available for overseas study.
- Orientations and workshops for students who study overseas.
- A study abroad library.
- Drop in Monday – Friday between 8 AM – 5 PM to look at brochures
