Science Research Paper

This is a Research Paper Assignment from Heiner Linke’s 400 level interdisciplinary science course. The general guidelines are in black and specific examples, particular to the course, are in purple. The wording and structure of this assignment helps students understand the purpose, process and appropriate scope of research assignments, so it’s likely applicable in several disciplines. The assignment is divided into six steps, due at intervals throughout the term, including a bibliography and peer review. This assignment also includes research resources and suggestions, including useful journals and websites, which are extremely helpful for students who are just beginning to survey a field. Although these are very discipline specific, they provide a useful template for other instructors.
