How do I maintain the necessary boundaries between teacher and student?
- Two situations immediately come to mind which should be avoided. First,
do not date your students. At least wait until grades for the term have been
reported. Second, do not become your student's therapist/confessor/crisis
counselor. If he or she has complicated personal problems, consider seeking
outside, professional help for them.
