Teaching Related Issues
TEP staff members are available to meet with anyone at the UO who has an interest in teaching. We want to provide the information, resources and support you need to meet your teaching goals and to enjoy and learn as much as you can from your experience in the classroom.
These sessions are confidential and can focus on any of the following:
- organizing a course
- lesson planning
- constructing a syllabus
- grading policies and practices
- increasing student participation
- facilitating student discussions
- giving students useful feedback
- reviewing midterm and departmental teaching evaluations
- implementing alternative teaching strategies
- constructing teaching portfolios
- using instructional technology effectively
- reviewing your videotape and giving constructive feedback
- teaching to diversity
- suggestions for improvement
- or any other issue pertaining to teaching and learning
