Imagine that a student makes a comment in class that immediately sets off a storm
of heated reactions including accusations of racism and sexism. What do you
do? Difficult moments in the classroom happen. It is essential for faculty to have
the resources that allow them to intervene intentionally and skillfully. In this
workshop participants will have the opportunity to practice handling different
intervention strategies related to critical incidents in the classroom.
