We all know that students learn and retain more when they see a relationship between their lives and the activities of the course. But who has the time to aimlessly search YouTube and Google for scraps of information that might be meaningful to your course? And who can be sure that what you do fi nd will contribute to learning? This workshop is designed to offer you a systematic approach for finding and using Pop Culture video, music, and websites. Bring your laptop, and we’ll practice useful search strategies (including tips for encouraging students to do the searching for you) and discuss how best to introduce and incorporate Pop Culture into your course.
