It is often hard to know where to start when sitting down to write an exam. What topics should it cover? Should it be multiple choice, short answer, or essay? Open book or closed? Taken individually or in groups? In this workshop we will discuss the benefits of various types of exams as well as how to construct good true/false, multiple choice, short answer, and essay-type questions. Participants will practice writing questions and leave the workshop with a plan for constructing their next exam.
