Creating The Inclusive Classroom
The Teaching Effectiveness Program offers workshops throughout the academic year to help instructors create a classroom environment that is welcoming and conducive to the learning of all students. See our Schedule of Events for workshops and classes running this term. These workshops focus on various aspects of teaching related to diversity and on different communities within the student population.
Offerings include:
- What
does being white have to do with diversity?
This program explores such topics as white identity development, privilege, and guilt with a focus on how this information can be of use in the classroom.
We are open to suggestions on
training topics from anyone with instructional responsibilities. We can also
provide workshops designed
to meet the specific needs of individual departments.
