Assessing Students in a Learner-Centered Classroom

This workshop explores what assessment could be like in a classroom that is learner-centered. Specifically, participants: learn about the use and benefits of self and peer assessment, learn how assessment can be used to heighten student learning and make students more aware of how they learn, and brainstorm ways to incorporate these ideas into their assessment practices.

Learner-centered teaching does not deny the importance of grades.
