How do we engage, challenge, and support students in ways that maximize their learning in the classroom? In this session we will consider research on active learning and model several activities you can use in both small and large classes. You will have the opportunity to brainstorm a new classroom activity or change an existing one to become more active, aligning it directly with one of your course learning outcomes. We will also share tools and resources to support active learning in our courses.

This workshop supports instructors in their research-informed teaching.
